1. Arenal National Park

4. Tortuguero National Park

Located on the Caribbean coast the attraction here is to rent kayaks, canoes or motorized boats to explore the canals and lagoons. If you prefer to stay on dry land, there are walking trails that can lead you to beautiful isolated beaches or the lush rainforest.

5.Corcovado National Park

Here you will find the most diverse eco systems in the country and it can also boast perhaps the best pristine beach. You can hire a guide to go on Jungle tours to see a vast assortment of wildlife.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve – The rainforest in this nature preserve is home to an amazing variety of animals and plants, including Jaguars and Bare-necked Umbrella Birds. Guided bird watching tours are available and there is an interesting farmers market on Saturdays.
